The Brief

Papa Luigi’s Italian Restaurant, based in Chorley, Lancashire, came to us looking to replace 70 chairs with a fresh look. They also wanted to modernise their dining aesthetic, getting rid of old-fashioned table cloths and replacing them with easy-to-maintain table tops.

Papa Luigi’s already knew they wanted thick table tops that felt of amazing quality and were durable, requesting 40mm thickness and asking that all tables were consistent in design, a contrast to their old mismatched dining tables.

Challenges & Solutions

Papa Luigi’s hadn’t embarked on a complete refurbishment for quite some time, so they were very unsure where to begin. Our sales team helped them to conduct all the necessary initial research and walked them through every step of the consultation process.

When it came to choosing the perfect design and aesthetics, our team were on hand to help find the best solutions for what the restaurant needed day-to-day. The team at Papa Luigi’s stated how they were looking for faux leather for their dining chairs, to make them easy to clean but maintain a classic look. They also needed strong and hardwearing table tops to replace the outdated white table cloths they were used to using.

We were able to put forward several laminates, sending over 6 different samples for them to test and choose from, as well as two faux leather selections in both Iron Grey and Ivory.

To help meet their needs regarding the thickness of the table tops, we were able to provide a unique customisation that saw orders of table tops of 40mm thickness instead of the standard 25mm thickness. Papa Luigi’s also chose to have a bespoke finish for their table tops, choosing the custom Truffle Brown Davos Oak for its eye-catching and hardwearing style.

All customisations were done with the goal of ensuring that both the dining chairs and tables were durable enough for this busy family restaurant. Every piece chosen not only offers classic design that perfectly complements the branding of Papa Luigi’s, but is also easy to maintain, clean and quick to turn around.

During the fit-out, our team was on hand to ensure there was limited disruption to a large group booking for their lunchtime rush. Together with the fitters and Papa Luigi’s, we were able to fit all dining chairs and tables quickly and with minimal disruption.

The Finished Product

Overall, the owner and manager of Papa Luigi’s were elated with the final results and couldn’t be happier with the excellent quality of the bespoke tables and customised faux leather dining chairs.

Our team was on hand from the very initial stages of the project, right through to the fit-out, ensuring that every detail was carefully managed.
