Restaurant interior design isn’t just about making a space look pretty. The design and layout of your restaurant can add to the theme and tone of the menu and give customers a full sensory experience.

When it comes to restaurant interior design, having a space that perfectly showcases your brand can be a great way to improve customer satisfaction across the board. It can even generate free marketing if customers can’t wait to share a snap of your restaurant on social media.

We’ve chosen 10 amazing restaurants that have knocked their interior design out of the park. Plus, we’ve offered some Warner Contract Furniture pieces to help you ‘get the look’ of your favourites.

Our top picks for the best restaurant interior design

Bar Douro City

This central London Portuguese restaurant has a menu filled with delicious seafood and veggie small plates. Their interior design mirrors this seafood theme and replicates the seaside tavernas you’d typically find along Portugal’s coast.

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel – The Refuge

The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel’s restaurant Refuge makes you feel like you’re dining in a luscious greenhouse on a country estate. Adorned with trees and vines and modern designs.

You’ll find simple curved lines and low chairs, all in various shades of green and other earthy tones to mirror its nature theme.

Hjem

Hjem’s clean and Scandinavian restaurant design perfectly complements the Michelin Star menu. The design of both the contract furniture and the space itself focuses on minimalism, in true Skandi style.

Spring in Covent Garden

Spring in Covent Garden is a great example of interior and exterior restaurant inspiration. Much like the Kimpton Clocktower, elements of nature form the design focus, with plenty of greenery surrounding the diners.

The furniture itself has been chosen to replicate high-class outdoor dining using bamboo look chairs and glossy marble table tops.

The Ivy

The Ivy have multiple locations across the UK and they are masters at mixing and matching their furniture. Whether it’s floral-designed armchairs or simple leather bar stools, this restaurant takes art-deco-themed maximalist design to the next level.

Beverly Hills Diner

This American-style diner in Hull is a great example of how to do retro right. A lot of thought has gone into not just the decor but the contract furniture too. With chrome table bases, simple white table tops and simple padded bar stools and chairs, you’ll think you’ve been transported to 1950s America.

The Chapel Restaurant and Bar

The Chapel Restaurant and Bar in Somerset has taken an old chapel within a disused prison and turned it into a modern dining experience. The interior design of this restaurant has managed to keep the essential core of the chapel building but modernised it for its restaurant guests.

We particularly love the use of block-style wooden benches and long tables to reference traditional chapel pews.

The Lost & Found Club

The Lost & Found Club in Leeds has a vintage 1920s/1930s style that oozes elegance. There are a few different rooms, each with their own personality.

The gallery is light and airy with a selection of poseur tables and contemporary barstools. The main bar is cosier, adorned with chandeliers, high-backed rattan chairs and rustic coffee tables.

Niku

Niku’s restaurant interior design is bold and what many would label as instagrammable. Its wall-to-wall flowers and vines make you feel like you’re in an elaborate rose garden.

It also uses earthy muted tones for its tables and chairs, ensuring the full focus is on the orchid-draped light fixtures and extravagant bamboo and foliage panelling.

Dalloway Terrace

With the summer season coming in hot, we couldn’t not include this stunning outdoor restaurant space. What makes this dining space unique is that with every season, the flowers and foliage covering its walls change.

The tone of Dalloway Terrace feels like sitting along the French Riviera, a towering chateau at your back. Its table and chairs perfectly match this theme, with ornate table bases, marble tops and bamboo armchairs.
